Welcome

As former high school, college, and professional basketball players, the Colorado Legends Basketball Club understands the importance of early development.  There are many things we wish our sons and daughters could learn early in life. We make everything possible! We help our players find doors of opportunity. Once those doors are found if the player cannot open the door themselves, we help them open the door. Exposure is a key to success. We are located in Colorado in Broomfield, Westminster, Northglenn, Thornton, Brighton, Commerce City, Federal Heights.

The Colorado Legends Basketball Club combines the knowledge of life and basketball to assist your child in his or her early development.  This gives us the ability to get the fullest development of each  young basketball player. They will be matched with a team and coach to help them succeed to their fullest. Once with a team and a coach they will stay with them throughout their stay with the Colorado Legends Basketball Club.

The Colorado Legends Basketball Club has many different requirements for its players.  Most importantly We require a 100% effort in the classroom from all players.  All players must turn in report cards to the board of directors for evaluation. Our players understand that not performing in the classroom prohibits their playing time on the court.  We only develop STUDENT athletes as a well-rounded person.  Athletes that do not perform in the classroom, do not perform on the court.  All of our players must maintain at least an eligible grade point average at all times to be eligible for game time.  The Colorado Legends Basketball Club requires its teams and players to become involved in community service activities through our program sanctioned events.  We require them to keep community service as an activity throughout their basketball career and LIFE!

Understand that we are dedicated to the development of your young person as a whole. We will be as committed to their basketball development as much as their LIFE!  We are very serious about basketball though.  We understand that there will be different levels of commitment from each individual player. We have a program for all levels of players whether it is competitive or non-competitive.

We will expect the same effort from each player, committing to becoming a better basketball player and person.  We will expect them to give THEIR all towards this commitment, as well as their family members support.  We don?t expect your child to choose the path of their life; especially at a young age.  This is why teams are divided based on talent and/or commitment.  So if child really wants to be a basketball player and a better person, this is the place for him or her to grow to be their best.

If they just like to play basketball and haven't decided on a primary sport we have programs for that as well.  Our doors are always open for all levels of play. No players are ever turned away.

Club Director

Coach Tim Cornelius founded the Colorado Legends in dreams of making youth basketball the standard for all sports. He sees this program as the foundation and idolized program of all others. Coach Tim started playing basketball when he was four years old. He continued his playing through various recreation leagues in Colorado and Wisconsin during his elementary years. In middle school he played at Adams City Middle School and was a starter for both years and team captain in 8th grade.  He then attended Adams City High School and was a four year varsity player. He was team captain his Junior and Senior Year. He wasn't highly recruited out of high school but with the help of two of his closest coaches, Winston Murrell and Bill Morelock, Coach Tim was able to attend a discovery camp and get a scholarship to Saint Mary College. At SMC Coach Tim set a new conference and school record for three pointers made, attempted and percentage.

Coach Tim received an award for one of the top 50 best shooters in the nation as a Freshman. He then took his abilities back home to Colorado where he transferred in to play at Colorado School of Mines. After College Coach Tim continued to play in recreation leagues and found himself in the CBA. Now after coaching for the past 14 years Coach Tim has founded a program to help give back all the knowledge and hard-work that he has gained over the years.
